Voice Chat
Voice is a built-in template in CookAI Bot — it works out of the box after creating your Bot, no extra configuration needed. The Bot uses a natural Chinese voice by default.
Works Out of the Box
After creating your Bot, voice is already enabled by default. Send a voice message and the Bot automatically replies with voice (auto: inbound mode). No manual configuration needed.

Press and hold the record button in Telegram to send a voice message. The Bot uses the Whisper model for speech-to-text (STT), supporting Chinese, English, and many other languages with high accuracy.
Voice Reply Control (TTS)
By default, the Bot only replies with voice when you send voice. You can also control TTS behavior with commands:
/tts on # All replies include voice (text + voice)/tts off # Disable voice replies, text onlyWith /tts on, the Bot will include voice replies regardless of whether you send text or voice.
Default Voice
The Bot uses a natural Chinese voice by default — clear and fluent, great for everyday conversation. Voice can be customized in SOUL.md.
Notes
- • Voice features are only available in private chat; TTS is disabled in groups
- • Voice messages consume additional API credits (STT + TTS)
- • Supported languages depend on the Whisper model; all major languages are supported
